California Transfer Services

Background:

Southern Michigan Arms is proud to support the rights of all gun owners, even when their state's legislators are not. Recently, California enacted legislation that requires FFL dealers in any state to jump through a series of hoops prior to shipping firearms to dealers in California. Not surprisingly, a lot of dealers across the US declared they would no longer ship any firearms to California. It can be argued that this was exactly the desired impact of said legislation.

Our California Transfer Service:

Being proud supporters of the 2nd Amendment and gun owners across the country, we were undeterred and are happy to offer our transfer services to California residents. Here's how it works.

• Find a California-legal firearm you want and verify that the seller is willing to ship to us.
• Let us know that you'd like to utilize our CA Transfer services.
  
• Get us contact information for both the seller and your receiving, in-state dealer.
  
• We work out the transfer details with both parties, receive the gun from the seller, and ship it to your receiving dealer.
• You go to your in-state dealer and begin the purchase process.

For this service we charge a mere $10 + actual shipping, payable by credit card through our website.

Additional CA-Compliance Services:

We are also willing to install California-compliant parts such as magazine locks to make the firearm legal in California. This service is an additional fee and will be handled on a one-by-one basis. Please email us for quotes.

Please note that we do not have the tools necessary to remove riveted AK-47/74 style magazine releases. We can not perform AK magazine release modifications.
